Who are we?

The Ohio Burlesque Festival was established in 2011 by a handful of Ohio individuals that believed that the state of Ohio was ready for a national burlesque celebration. Our Festival takes place the first weekend in August annually showcasing burlesque, variety and vaudeville entertainment from all over the world. We are also focused on historical content in Ohio from 1900 to present as well as community volunteering, outreach and fundraising.

What we stand for?

Standing for the community locally and state wide is our mission, Gathering assistance and awareness for the support of non-profits all over the state. We every year chose a charity to provide funding and awareness towards in a big way!. It’s our way of giving back to the community that supported our crazy glittering dream.

What are The Golden Buckeye Awards?

The awards were formed in 2011, The award ceremony was held in The Beachland Ballroom during out festival awarding 12 non-profits organizations and individuals that made a difference in our community. In 2012 we awarded over 30 organizations. We created these awards to recognize the community leadership, hard work and dedication to volunteerism that touches so many every year. We wanted to let the world know that we have amazing people in the state of Ohio.

What are the requirements for a nomination?

You must be a non-profit organization that stands for a community of individuals that stands for a cause. To be nominated as a volunteer you have to have organized or headed or supported multiple events with out pay.
As a venue you would have to have been involved charitably for organizations, hosting special events and planning at no cost to them.

Who picks the winners?

The people and The Directors
The Directors gather the proper information for a valid nomination, Then its put for on a vote for the public to decide.

What can the ohio burlesque festival do for non-profits?

We can help you fundraise, contact volunteers, promote your events, connect you with sponsors, help you build a market in social media and more importantly offer you hand that will go to work for you.
